Alison was immediately drawn to the practice of holistic medicine when she first experienced treatment by a homeopathic doctor. She knew that being so completely seen and heard by the practitioner was an integral part of her healing process. Wanting to be a part of this healing movement, she applied for and entered the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) program at the highly-regarded Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin, Texas.Over the course of her studies, and in keeping with her undergraduate degree in psychology, she was consistently drawn to matters of the spirit and mind and to those in particular of women’s health. After completing the program at AOMA and being recognized as a practitioner of TCM by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (US), she found her place at the Texas Center for Reproductive Acupuncture where she practiced for four years. Her time at TCRA, by virtue of both the team and the couples seeking treatment further informed her how each person is unique and requires a treatment approach and plan that is uniquely theirs. Each instance of recurrent pregnancy loss, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, diminished ovarian reserve, unexplained infertility had a face, a spirit, and a story ready to be seen, acknowledged, and heard.

It is with a sense of enthusiasm and humility that Alison joins the esteemed team at Yinstill in the beautiful endeavor of accompanying people in their very own remarkable journeys toward welcoming new life. Alison is recognized by NCCAOM (US) and the CTCMA (CA). Her practice is complemented and informed by her love of singing, songwriting, guitar playing, dance, yoga, and all things creative.
