Sometimes the work of fertility isn’t about becoming more.

Every fertility journey begins with doing.
The deepest transformation is becoming.

Most fertility journeys begin with a simple, heartfelt desire:

"I want a baby."

Then comes the next transition:

"I need to optimize."

You begin learning. Improving your nutrition. Prioritizing sleep. Supporting your hormones. Taking supplements. Exercising. Getting acupuncture. Creating healthier rhythms. Doing everything you can to prepare your body.

This phase matters.

But I don't believe it's the final transition.

After more than two decades working exclusively in reproductive medicine, I've noticed something remarkable.

And begin saying,

"I trust that I have become the woman who can receive one."

Not because everything is perfect.

Not because every variable is under control.

🌿 A little fertility serendipity.

I recently visited Twig Fertility and was delighted to connect with Dr. Pooni, Elisha, and their wonderful team. When I arrived I was brought to consultation room, I smiled at the name on the door: Salt Spring Island.

Of all the rooms in Vancouver, I ended up in the one named after the island I call home and where I care for patients througg Yinstill.

A small coincidence, or a gentle reminder that we’re right where we’re meant to be.
