Dr. Pentland’s Salt Spring Island practice is a calm, private space close to Ganges village. If you’re coming from off-island, plan around the ferry schedule and allow a few extra minutes to arrive and settle in.

Yes we direct bill
If your extended health plan covers acupuncture and/or naturopathic medicine, please bring your policy card to your appointment. We can only direct bill your primary insurance, so if you have secondary coverage, you’ll need to submit your invoice to that provider yourself. We also need a credit card on file. If a direct-billing claim doesn’t go through, that card will be charged the uncovered portion or the full amount.

How do I book my first appointment on Salt Spring?
Book online, choose the Initial TCM appointment (60 min), then pick an available date and time. Additional information and intake forms will be emailed to you shortly after booking. Questions? Call 250.931.7756 or email office@yinstill.com.
Is there a free way to find out if Yinstill is right for me?
Yes. Book a complimentary 15-minute Discovery Call. We’ll listen to where you are, answer your first questions and help you decide on next steps — no pressure.
Is treatment covered by insurance?
Yinstill does direct billing, therefore if your extended health covers acupuncture and/or Naturopathic medicine please bring along your policy card to your appointment. *Please note that with direct billing we also must have a credit card on file. A credit card will be charged for percentage of total or full amount when direct billing does not process for any reason. We can only process your primary insurance coverage at one time through our direct billing system. If you have secondary coverage you will need to submit your invoice to them manually to receive reimbursement of your payment.
Which days is Dr. Pentland on Salt Spring?
Dr. Pentland sees patients on Salt Spring Island Tuesday through Thursday, 9:30am to 3pm. If those days don’t work for you, online initial fertility consultations are also available.
Can you support me through IVF at another clinic?
Yes. We coordinate timing with your IVF or IUI protocol, including additional visits around retrieval and embryo transfer. We work closely with PCRM, and many patients also receive care through Olive, Twig and Grace Fertility.
Should my partner be seen too?
We encourage it. Sperm health plays a meaningful role in conception and early pregnancy, and The Male Factor™ protocol supports men’s reproductive and overall health. We welcome all families, including LGBTQ2S+ families, donor conception and surrogacy.
How do I change or cancel an appointment?
Please call or email the clinic so your care team stays aligned with your plan — online self-cancellation isn’t available. Late cancellations are subject to a 50% fee; no-shows or cancellations within one hour are charged in full.
