Results from a recent study on the effects of acupuncture on women with PCOS showed a positive affect on AMH levels and ovarian volume. Electrical acupuncture is administered for 16 weeks consecutively displayed hormonal regulating effects and restoration of ovulation in a significant number of the test subjects.

This is more evidence to suggest acupuncture has real physiological effects on ovarian physiology and hormone regulation, and can be especially effective treatment in women with PCOS.
